Warning signs are used to indicate a specific source of potential harm. The following words are generally used to alert the viewer to the severity of the risk.
Danger – indicated a hazard with a high level of risk where if not avoided is likely to cause death or serious injury.
Warning – indicates a hazard with a medium level of risk where if not avoided could result in death serious injury.
Caution – indicates a hazard with a low level of risk where if not avoided could result in minor or moderate injury.
